Update from GNA lobbyist/ legal counsel, Demetrius Mazacoufa, JD, regarding APRN prescribing rules from the Board of Medicine:
The medical board submitted a draft of proposed rules to the AG which did a preliminary review of them a couple of weeks ago.  The board reworked those proposed rules and resent them to the AG to look at the new language.  These proposed rules are with the AG now and should be ready for the medical board to vote on during its August meeting.  At that time, they will be posted for public comment for 30 days.  Assuming no problem with what is posted, the rules then will be adopted after the expiration of that 30 day review period.  That 30 day period may be extended if there is significant public reaction to the proposed rules to allow for a hearing.
